Our Mission

St. Sarkis Sunday School students will gain exposure to Armenian language and culture, achieve personal success in learning, and become responsible and productive citizens in the Armenian community.
  • We will provide a strong foundation in Armenian language, history, culture, and religion for our students to thrive as leaders.

  • We will provide a holistic approach to education by means of hands-on learning.

  • We will instill values of integrity, respect, fairness, responsibility, and trust.

  • We will encourage active learning and intentional critical thinking to assist students in realizing their full potential.

St. Sarkis Armenian Sunday School is proudly affiliated with Little Angels Saturday School—accredited in June 2024 by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), ensuring excellence in Armenian language and cultural education

Culture & Religion

Our language program offers classes in Eastern and Western Armenian for non-speakers and those who already have a strong foundation in the language. Students learn how to read and write depending on their developmental and skill level with skilled teachers who are devoted to carry on the Armenian language into the next generation.

Students at St. Sarkis Sunday School develop a strong sense of our history as the first Christian nation. They learn about heroic battles and the origins of our cultural traditions.

For Armenians, culture and religion are inextricably linked. We teach through interactive programs that foster an appreciation for our religious beliefs through Bible stories, our delicious food through cooking lessons, and celebrates culture through a strong dance and choir program. You will be amazed to see your children singing in Armenian during our performances.
